Most university students start the new term at the beginning of September. Click2Campus make it easier for the many international students who arrive with nothing more than a suitcase of clothes. They offer university packs for students across a large range of products from cutlery to pillows! Click2Campus looked for a partner that could fulfil this requirement and since summer 2013 Seabourne has been their preferred supplier.  

Click2Campus sell good quality, value-for-money students’ essentials and deliver them right to their accommodation – anywhere in the UK. The packs provide students with most of their everyday essentials . In short, they are ideal starter packs for any self-respecting student.


From nothing to everything
Seabourne make up kits during August for shipment in the peak period. The timing of this project is a challenge for Click2Campus. They searched for a partner that could handle volumes to complete this project in two weeks. Timing, logistics expertise and service are key words here. The right mix at Seabourne was the deciding factor.

Seabourne Group is a professional, full service, packaging and warehousing provider with a host of experience.We warehouse and fulfil the students’ packs from Click2campus in Northampton, we discuss and plan with the client and will ensure that we deliver A to Z logistic solutions for the client’s needs.

The main aspect of the job is to make up kits to deliver to the universities. The student orders online a selected pack. Seabourne picks all the items from our warehouse and build the packs. Our packaging team handle approx. 130 orders per day for this client over a 2-3 week peak. Seabourne place the items in a box with sufficient protective internal packaging to prevent movement in transit.

Seabourne grasped the challenge from Click2Campus with both hands. When we receive the items from Click2Campus, we stop at nothing to successfully complete the project.

The products can be stored, custom packaged, saved in our warehouse or sent directly out for delivery. Seabourne offers total flexibility.

Seabourne Solutions in Northampton has successfully completed a high volume back-to-college  contract packing job for a leading supplier of notebooks and pads to the office, school and fine art markets. The job involved packing multiple items into an outer carton and shrink wrapping, prior to onward shipping to Tesco’s DC. We took delivery of thousands of individual stationery items and then made up the orders within the agreed timeframe.

Operating in-house packaging and warehousing to prepare and ship large college bundles can be a challenge in terms of planning and staffing during the summer period. The client needed a partner that could be involved in the process from concept to completion and provide a flexible and personal service.

Seabourne had the cartons manufactured to the client’s specification; the various specified items were packed into the branded cartons, wrapped and sent on to Tesco’s DC within the agreed timeframe.

Seabourne helps to deal with the peak and to ship thousands of packages when this is demanded by the market. The complexity and timing of this action is an important factor and the reason for the client to work with us.
